Supporting the FIFA High Performance Programme in Kosovo

Using Objective Data to Accelerate Coach Development

Coach Intelligence Lab was proud to support the FIFA High Performance Programme together with the Football Federation of Kosovo (FFK), helping coaches create even better learning environments for the country’s next generation of talent.

During an intensive two-day visit, we observed training sessions, objectively analysed coaching behaviours and presented our findings directly to the coaching staff.

From Observation to Action

Rather than relying on opinions, our analysis identified the coaching behaviours that have the greatest impact on player learning. Using the data, we delivered an executive summary highlighting the academy’s strengths, benchmarking coaching behaviours against the Coach Intelligence Lab European Index, and identifying practical opportunities for improvement.

The openness, curiosity and willingness to learn shown by the coaches and staff created an outstanding environment for meaningful discussions and continuous development.

Eight Recommendations for Better Learning Environments

The project concluded with eight evidence-based recommendations designed to help coaches create more effective learning environments. These recommendations focused on improving player engagement, coaching quality and the transfer of learning to match performance.

By combining objective data with practical coach education, Coach Intelligence Lab continues to help clubs and federations transform everyday coaching into measurable player development.
